The 8th DC Saturdays protests to support Iranian people
For the 8th week, Iranian Americans are still demonstrating on Saturdays across the Washington D.C in support of protesters in Iran.
Protesters on November 12, 2022 demanded embassies across the world cut ties with the Islamic Republic.
Anti government protests in Iran and abroad have started after Amini died in morality police custody in Iran after being detained for allegedly not wearing a headscarf (hijab) “properly” in public. Morality police is responsible for enforcing Iran’s strict dress code for women, including the wearing of the headscarf in public.
