The 11th DC Saturdays protests to support Iranian people
Iranian Americans have kept demonstrating on Saturdays for the 11th week across Washington, D.C. in support of protesters in Iran.
Protesters marched from the White House towards the Capitol on December 3, 2022.
Anti government protests in Iran and abroad have started after Amini died in morality police custody in Iran after being detained for allegedly not wearing a headscarf (hijab) “properly” in public. Morality police is responsible for enforcing Iran’s strict dress code for women, including the wearing of the headscarf in public.
